Brookson Supports Operation Christmas Child

Wednesday 28 November 2018

For over 10 years Brookson have been supporting Operation Christmas Child. It is a great cause which benefits children all around the world during the Christmas period.

Operation Christmas Child involves supporters packing a shoebox with gifts for children, these are then collected and prepared for shipping by thousands of volunteers. They are then shipped to more than 100 countries and distributed to children who need them the most.

According to the Samaritans Purse, the charity which runs Operation Christmas Child ‘A small shoebox can have a big impact’.

Brookson staff member, Colin, who is personally involved with Samaritans Purse says:

I have been involved with Operation Christmas Child for over 15 years.

Operation Christmas Child is part of the work of Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse, it’s purpose is to distribute gift filled shoeboxes to needy and vulnerable children around the world due to the consequence of war, famine, or natural disaster, and to bring hope and joy to them.

Brookson have for over ten years supported me with Operation Christmas Child, putting up posters, distributing leaflets and drumming up interest. They have also paid for pre-printed go boxes to be distributed to Brookson offices around the UK including our Bournemouth and Coventry offices and the Managing Director of Brookson Financial David, has brought filled shoeboxes back from his staff in Coventry, so Brookson have really supported Operation Christmas Child across the country!”.
